Networking – Are you being selective with your time?

Networking has become an intrinsic part of business development in the UK.
It is a vital way of building business relationships and thanks to the developments in communication technology, it has never been easier to connect with people.

Face-to-face networking is still probably the best means of developing genuine and lucrative business contacts, however social networking sites such as LinkedIn allow us to make instant contact with our newly-acquired contacts and, more importantly, enable us to do our research on them.
It does of course, secure exposure to a significantly bigger business network…

Networking is also becoming more sophisticated. It’s important that we are selective with our time and engaging with like-minded people, who can add real value to what we are doing.

Business Exposure Group puts you in a position of influence

The Entrepreneurs Club and The Business Exposure Group have positioned themselves well by putting on events and meetings for people who really want to engage with others in a trusted environment.
The idea of developing a few close contacts of good quality is far better than spreading yourself too thinly and achieving maybe poorer relationships.

No matter how long you’ve been in business, you can always develop and improve your business skills and knowledge – especially with all the changes in social media and the digital world.
Talking with others about strategies and the issues that we all face as business owners can give you greater confidence in the way you tackle issues. We all need to differentiate ourselves – otherwise we just become one of the crowd. That will be the difference between making money and making peanuts.

The Business Exposure Group is an organisation hosting a number of business discussion events across the North of England.
It has over 120 business owners involved in their regular round-table events, collaborating with each other on business strategies and opportunities.
The discussions around the table are not about the features and benefits of the services and products that we all offer, it’s about the problems that we solve.

Please contact me, David Lomas on 08450 519374 for details and to be invited to one of their events.

  1. With havin so much written content do you ever run
into any problems of plagorism or copyright infringement?

My blog has a lot of completely unique content I’ve either created myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my authorization. Do you know any methods to help prevent content from being stolen? I’d genuinely appreciate it.

    • Hi Alison

It is impossible to stop anyone copying your content but there are pieces of software that can track or find pieces of your articles. Just google ‘article copyright theft’ I would suggest.
Copying your content only devalues their own page rank, not yours.

I would suggest you just put a note on your site saying we will prosecute anyone infringing our copyright.
